SunRADON Careers — Electronics Technician

This is a full-time position, with ability to work overtime as required. The Electronics Technician is responsible for the set-up, calibration, and testing of circuits, components, instruments and electro-mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities:

  • Works from diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to assemble and test products
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems including fault isolation on systems and equipment
  • Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, and specialized test apparatus in the diagnostics and testing of assemblies
  • Calibrate and maintain test stations and equipment
  • May provide technical assistance to other departments, including troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems
  • Assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment
  • Work cross-departmentally to ensure the resolution of problems and action items
  • Support development and upkeep of procedures and work instructions
  • Participate in the root cause analysis process and support resulting corrective action plans (CAPA)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • AS in Electronic Technology or 2 years equivalent experience. Additional college or vocational school training is a plus
  • Basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of basic electronics theory
  • Able to interpret electronic schematics and identify electronic components, their function, and proper placement on a PCB
  • Proper use of equipment testing and troubleshooting tools, including oscilloscope and digital multi-meter
  • Proficient in soldering and re-work techniques in accordance with IPC-A-610 and IPC-7711/21 electronic assembly and rework standards; knowledge of other relevant PCB and PCBA standards is a plus
  • Capable of understanding and working in an ISO environment
  • Ability to perform repetitive, precision assembly, testing, and repair tasks with a proficiency in the use of hand tools, test equipment, and magnification in manufacturing environment
  • Quality focused
  • Performs visual inspection of components prior to assembly or test
    Performs self-inspection and ensures that product meets specifications
  • Must be a self-starter with good time management abilities
  • Leadership experience is a plus
