SunRADON Careers — Senior Materials Associate

Based in Melbourne, FL the Sr Material Associate will be responsible for performing duties in receiving, stocking, inventory control, and kitting. The Materials Associate performs the physical and administrative tasks involved to receive, store, distribute and work order fulfillment of products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Examine stock for verification of conformance to specifications, packing slips, and invoices; store items according to identifying factors; fill material requests and/or issue supplies from stock; requisition stock to begin a replenishment. Determine methods and/or places for storing in consideration for guidelines, temperature, humidity, weight or height limits, turnover, loading capacity, and required space. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Work from diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to receive products
  • May determine inspection procedures on unique assignments
  • Prepare and maintain all necessary paperwork and record defects
  • Check goods received and for distribution against purchase orders, maintain records of goods and reject unsatisfactory items
  • Lift heavy items and operate a pallet jack, stacker, and/or forklift
  • Accountable for the safe operation of all equipment used to perform duties
  • Ensure equipment required for warehouse operations is properly maintained
  • Review work orders, examine stock and distribute products and materials in inventory and manufacturing lines
  • Ensure that orders transacted are verified against pertinent documentation
  • Perform cycle counts daily or weekly as needed
  • May provide technical assistance to other departments
  • Work cross-departmentally to ensure the resolution of problems and action items
  • Support development and upkeep of procedures and work instructions
  • Conduct/research/reconcile cycle count variances

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 5-7 years of experience in stockroom/receiving material handling; additional college or vocational school training is a plus
  • Basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office products, communicating internally and externally via email
  • Capable of understanding and working in an ISO 9001 environment
  • Detail oriented and quality focused
  • Pallet jack/stacker/forklift experience
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Must be a self-starter with time management and multitasking abilities
  • Leadership experience is a plus
