SunRADON Careers — Senior Materials Associate

This is a full-time position, with the ability to work overtime as required. The position performs duties in both receiving and inspection. The Materials Associate performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in the receiving, distributing and work order fulfillment of products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. The Materials Associate also performs incoming visual, mechanical, electrical inspections of material receipts.

Responsibilities:

  • Works from diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to receive and inspect products
  • Works from standard inspection procedures, written diagrams and charts
  • May determine inspection procedures on unique assignments
  • Prepares and maintains all necessary paperwork and recording defects
  • Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items
  • Lifts heavy items and operates a forklift
  • Prepares and maintains records of products received
  • Reviews work orders, examines, stocks and distributes products and materials in inventory and manufacturing lines
  • Uses manufacturing, test, and inspection tools
  • May provide technical assistance to other departments
  • Work cross-departmentally to ensure the resolution of problems and action items
  • Support development and upkeep of procedures and work instructions
  • Participate in the root cause analysis process and support resulting corrective action plans (CAPA)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 5-10 years of experience in material handling and receiving inspection; additional college or vocational school training is a plus
  • Basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office products
  • Proficient with inspection tools and techniques in accordance with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 electronic assemblies; knowledge of other relevant PCB and PCBA standards is a plus
  • Capable of understanding and working in an ISO environment
  • Experience creating nonconformity reports and quality alerts
  • Detail oriented and quality focused
  • Forklift experience
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Must be a self-starter with good time management abilities
  • Leadership experience is a plus
